AYLESBEARE AYLESBEARE Illey headstone approximately 8 metres south of Chancel of Church of St Mary

Headstone. Dated 1719 in memory of Charles ? Illey. Limestone. Upright slab standing approximately 1 metre high with shaped head. The front bows out a little and is set in a bolection-moulded frame crowned with a foliate festoon. It is inscribed with upper and lower case Roman serif lettering which is very worn but records the death of Charles ? Illey in 1719.
