Description
Nos. 1, 2, and 3 Chapel Road are a row of three cottages built in the late 17th century and raised in the 18th century. They are constructed of cob on a stone plinth and feature a single thatched, hipped roof with two end stacks, one of which is external. The cottages are two storeys high. The front of each cottage has one window on both floors, with the upper windows of Nos. 1 and 2 featuring early 19th-century casements and boxed lintels. Each cottage has one doorway; the left-hand door of No. 1 is set in its original wide opening and is sheltered by a thatched porch. These cottages create an attractive, enclosed group within the village, alongside the post office and other nearby buildings.
