Description

The ornamental terrace walk, dating from the early 19th century, extends 120 metres in an east-west direction along the north bank of Grindle Brook. It is constructed of rendered brick on a plinth made of Heavitree and limestone rubble. The walk is designed along an artificially widened section of the brook, which meanders in an ornamental fashion. To the west, there is an arbour, and a low wall with piers at angles features fielded panels, including a central projection into the water.
