Description
Burts Farmhouse, which includes a barn adjoining to the east, is a farmhouse dating from around the 17th century. It is constructed from plastered and colour-washed stone rubble, topped with a thatched roof that has gabled ends. The eaves at the rear have been heightened and are now covered with a corrugated asbestos roof. The building is positioned at right angles to the road and is two stories high, featuring a range of four windows. The casement windows on the ground floor to the right are modern, while the left-hand first-floor windows have thatched gables. There is a modern plank door located to the left of the center. To the right of the doorway, there is a rebuilt brick chimney stack, along with another rebuilt stack in the gable end. The adjoining barn, dating from the 18th century, is also made of stone rubble and has a tiled hipped roof, with barn doors and an additional door to the right.
