Description

Freakhayne is a house dating from the 16th to 17th century, constructed of stone rubble with a thatched roof featuring gabled ends. The building has stone quoins and a gabled cross-wing on the left (east) side. It stands two storeys high and has a three-window front. The windows on the ground floor are four and five light ovolo moulded stone mullion windows, each with dripmoulds. There is a doorway with a thatched hood located at the angle with the cross-wing. An ashlar stack with a moulded cap rises over the gable.
