Description

The Colyton Youth Club, originally a Unitarian Chapel, dates back to around 1746 and has undergone alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of stone rubble with red brick dressings and features a late 19th-century slate roof with bracketed eaves on the gable ends. The building has round-headed brick windows with keystones, although the windows on the east side have been blocked. A large 20th-century brick porch has been added to the west side. Inside, a floor was inserted in the 20th century, but the building still retains a segmental barrel vaulted plaster ceiling with a cornice. It was once known as George's Meeting House.
