Description

These are a group of three-storey stucco houses dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, numbered 119 to 125 on the north side of High Street. Each house originally had a single window, except for number 119, which has two. The windows are flush-frame sashes with glazing bars. Number 121 features sash windows with centre glazing bars, and splay bays at the first floor level, topped with wooden cornices. Numbers 123 and 125 have two-storey segmental bow fronts above the shops, with an eaves cornice that follows the curve of the bows. An early 19th-century wooden shop front is present, featuring a central arched entrance framed by pilasters and consoles below an entablature. The buildings form a group with numbers 103 to 107 (odd), the New Dolphin Hotel, numbers 111 to 115 (odd), and the remaining houses in the range.
