Description
The lychgate and boundary walls to St Andrew's Church, likely built around 1896 when the church was constructed, are made of limestone with a plain tile roof on the lychgate. The boundary consists of a continuous low wall, up to 1 meter high, which steps down to the north, east, and south of the church. This wall is made of squared stone with weathered coping and features piers that rise to approximately 1.7 meters in height, spaced about 3 meters apart. Each pier is topped with weathered stone similar to that of the main wall. There are several openings in the wall, which currently do not have gates. On the north side, opposite the path leading to the church's north porch, two larger piers rise to about 2.25 meters, topped with stone cappings that have a rounded lower edge. These piers support a simple timber structure with a hipped tiled roof. Additionally, there is a pair of wrought iron gates, which are likely of a more recent date than the rest of the structure.
