Description

The Haydon tomb chest, located 1.5 metres north of the Church of St Swithun, is a Grade II listed structure dedicated to Nicholas Haydon, who died in 1676. This stone tomb chest features side and end panels that are depressed, with the west side displaying arms. It has a memorial inscription on the north side, a moulded plinth, and a massive slab. The tomb chest is positioned directly north of the former Haydon Chantry chapel.
