Description

This outbuilding, located immediately northeast of Lower Abbey Farmhouse, dates from the medieval period and later. The north wall of the structure is likely part of the original north wall of the abbey church of the Cistercian Abbey of Newenham, which was founded in 1246. The wall is made of stone rubble and features two large arched recesses. Above this, there is a modern corrugated iron lean-to roof, which has been added to create a farm building.
