Description
Haveland is a farmhouse dating from around the 16th century. It is built of stone rubble and features a thatched roof with half-hipped and gabled ends. The building is L-shaped in plan, with one storey and an attic, and has three window openings with modern casements. There is one eyebrow dormer and a wide doorway on the left side that has a plank door, along with a blocked opening above it framed in chamfered wood. A small two-light chamfered wood mullion window is located at the east end. The north-east wing has a gable end, and there is an off-centre stone ridge chimney stack. The lower west end has been demolished, revealing a gable end that is now clad in corrugated iron.
Inside, there is an open fireplace with a chamfered bressummer and stopped chamfer jambs. The doorframe has a cambered head, and the ceiling beams are stopped chamfered. The plank and muntin screen and newel stairs mentioned in the provisional list seem to have been removed, likely due to the demolition of the lower end.
