Description

This is an 18th-century stone rubble house, originally two separate dwellings named The Laurels and Tanners Cottage. The building is situated at a right angle to the road, with one end rendered. It has a slate roof, one side gabled and the other hipped. The two-storey building has an eight-window front, with a two-window front to Tanners Cottage. The Laurels section features sash windows with glazing bars in moulded architraves, and a 19th or 20th-century two-storey splayed bay window. Tanners Cottage has a two-window range of two-light casement windows with leaded panes. The Laurels has a doorcase with pilasters and an entablature, while Tanners Cottage has a wooden trellis porch. A two-storey splayed bay window is located at the end facing the road, incorporating sash windows with glazing bars. Brick chimney stacks rise from the roof.
