Description

Terrace Lodge, also known as the Pippins Centre, is an early 19th-century building finished in stucco. It features a tarred slate hipped roof with paired brackets supporting a deep eaves soffit. The building has stone quoin pilasters adorned with a Greek key motif. It stands two storeys tall and consists of three bays, with the centre bay slightly recessed. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, and the centre window on the first floor has an elliptical arch with intersecting glazing bars. The ground floor windows are set within elliptical arched recesses on both the right and left sides. A central Doric portico in antis is supported by two stone columns, and it includes an entablature decorated with triglyphs.
