Description

Porch Cottages, located on Withycombe Road in Withycombe Raleigh, is a row of cottages likely dating from the 17th century. The cottages are rendered white over cob and brick and feature hipped thatched roofs. No 129 is positioned at right angles to the rear of No 131. The row is two storeys high and has a total of six windows, which are generally from the late 18th or early 19th century. No 131 includes a gabled porch with a dog grate and an old door frame. Nos 133 and 135 are adorned with 18th-century hoods supported by brackets. No 129 has two adapted sash windows with glazing bars.
