Description

Nos 1 and 3 Silverfields Road are a pair of cottages dating from the 19th century; they were originally a two-story terrace of four cottages, each with two windows. The roof is covered with Welsh slate and features coped gables and bracketed guttering. The exterior is constructed of coursed, squared grit stone rubble. Recessed sash windows with glazing bars are present, along with a central splayed bay window featuring a cornice rising the full height of the building. Number 1 has a modern ground floor bow window. One original doorway has been blocked, while the remaining three have been altered and now include wooden trellis porches. Nos 1 and 3 form a group with Nos 10 to 12 on Cramby Road.
