Description

Kinder Cottage and Kinders is a former farmhouse that dates back to the 17th century or earlier. It is constructed from plastered stone rubble and cob, topped with an asbestos slate roof that has half hipped ends. The building stands two storeys tall and features a four-window range, along with a modern one-window bay at the north end. There is also a modern wing at the rear and modern two-light casements with glazing bars throughout. A modern gabled porch is located in front of the off-centre chimney stack, which has been rebuilt in brick above the ridge. Inside, the cottage boasts heavy chamfered ceiling beams and a cambered timber fireplace bressummer.
