Description
Lea Cross is an early 19th-century small house located in Dalwood, featuring a stucco exterior and a thatched roof with gabled ends. The building stands two storeys high and consists of three bays. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars and louvred sliding shutters. On the ground floor, there are French doors with glazing bars set within moulded architraves, alongside a central door with a moulded architrave and a modern panelled door. A cast iron verandah with anthemiun decoration and a glazed roof enhances the façade.
At the rear, there is a wing that forms an L-shaped plan, which may have originally been a farm building. This section is constructed of white-washed stone rubble and also features a thatched roof, with two storeys and modern casement windows. Adjoining to the north-west is a stable range made of stone rubble and cob, topped with a thatched roof that has a half hipped end.
