Description

Willow Cottage and its adjoining outbuildings are a house dating to around 1840. The house is stuccoed and has a slate roof with leaded hip rolls. It is two storeys high, with rendered end stacks. The front of the house is symmetrical with three bays; it has a central doorway with a semi-circular fanlight above a panelled door, now within a 20th-century porch. The windows are timber sash windows, with hornless sashes on the first floor. The ground floor windows are eight-pane sashes, while the centre first floor window has two eight-pane sashes. The interior has undergone alterations. The windows have panelled internal shutters. A room on the right-hand side features two semi-circular headed niches. The staircase is fitted with turned balusters. The coach house and former stables remain, with stalls now removed. One stable gable contains an early 19th-century clock with all its original workings intact. The buildings are listed for their group value.
