Description

This is a pair of circa 1840 semi-detached houses built of stucco. They are three storeys high and feature pilaster strips with rustication on the front, flanking and dividing the facades. The roof is slate, with a low pitch and wide eaves, incorporating an elaborate fascia board. Two gabled dormers punctuate the roofline, each with ornate bargeboards. Each house has a single window to each floor. The ground and second floors feature two-light transomed casements, while the first floor has transomed French windows. All windows have marginal glazing with four-centred arched panes set in splayed reveals, with drip moulds above the second-floor windows. The first-floor French windows are each accompanied by a conopied balcony. Wooden porches with Gothic decorative detail and pointed doors are positioned on either side of the houses. The entrance to one of the properties, Seafield, has been altered. The buildings are situated within a group that includes Eglatine, Littlecourt Hotel, Seafield and Seacourt.
