Description

The Goodyer Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 1 metre east of the Mitchell Monument and south-east of the Church of St. Thomas. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of ashlar stone with a pennant slab top. The sides of the tomb are plain and feature two incised plaques. The earliest readable inscription commemorates R. Goodyer and is dated 1794.
