Description
East Soley Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century and 19th century. It is constructed from brick laced flint and brick, topped with a tiled roof. The building has one storey and an attic, featuring three bays, with a two-bay wing extending forward on the left. Inside, there is a cross passage with the main room to the right, which includes an axial stack, and a parlour beyond it. A staircase is located in a projection opposite the stack. To the left of the cross passage, there is a two-storey rebuild to which the wing is attached. The entrance features a four-panel door that is part glazed, set within a brick open porch. The windows are three-light timber casements. An external stack has been added to the parlour, which includes a reset datestone that reads M. S. 1658. Internally, the farmhouse has chamfered spine beams with checked swept stops. The roof structure is from the 19th century.
