Description

Billhay Bridge is a road bridge dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and features three segmental arches with cutwaters on both sides. The bridge has a plain parapet with weathered coping and square end piers capped with concrete. It is located at the end of an evergreen avenue to the south of South Lodge and the gates to Pythouse, and it was likely built around the same time as Pythouse for the Benetts.
