Description
Dibben's is a detached house dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. It features Flemish bond brickwork on a stone plinth and has a tiled roof with gable end brick stacks. The house is two stories high and has a four-window front. The central entrance consists of a planked door set within a 19th-century gabled porch, flanked by three-light cast-iron latticed casements that are inserted into segmental-headed openings. On the first floor, there are two three-light and two two-light cast-iron latticed casements, with stone raised eaves above. The left side of the house has a two-light steel casement. At the rear, there is a single-storey lean-to extension with 20th-century steel casements and three 20th-century dormers in the attic. This building was formerly an estate cottage on the Pythouse Estate.
