Description
Boreland House is a house built around 1820, constructed from colourwashed brick and topped with a machine pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and features three bays on the front and two bays on the sides. Inside, there is a central stair hall flanked by reception rooms. The entrance includes a six-panelled door with a fanlight, which is deeply set with panelled reveals, and a fluted doorcase topped with an open dentilled pediment. The windows are sixteen-paned sashes with concealed boxes, and there are twelve-paned windows on the first floor. The eaves are adorned with paired modillion brackets, and there are yellow brick chimney stacks. The windows on the side elevation have been altered. At the rear, there is a single-storey service wing made of brick and flint, featuring a slate roof. The front garden is enclosed by railings set on a low flint wall, with urn finials on the stanchions.
