Description
41 and 42 Upper Woodford are a pair of cottages built in the early to mid 19th century. They are constructed from rendered cob on a flint and brick sill, topped with a slate roof. Each cottage is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with a single stack located on the party wall. The entrances are situated between the inner and adjacent bays, featuring boarded doors set in rustic timber-framed porches that have flint infilling and a pitched tiled roof. The cottages have two and three-light windows with leaded glazing. There are service doors to the end bays, which are now used as kitchens. The stack has been raised in height and is made of honeycomb brickwork. The roof is hipped.
