Description

Flint House is an early 18th-century house, originally three cottages, situated on the east side of Netheravon High Street. The building is constructed primarily of flint with a prominent decorative pattern of brickwork across the front, with chalk visible in the gables. It has a tiled roof and a lobby-entry plan, presenting two storeys and four bays. The original configuration included a central lobby entrance, with later 19th-century reeded doorcases added in the second and fourth bays, now containing 20th-century doors. The windows are also 20th-century timber replacements, fitted with applied shutters. A second chimney stack is located on the right-hand gable. Rear extensions, single-storey and containing service rooms, have been added. The roof trusses bear the carpenter's marks of the original builder.
