Description
The stables, dating from 1734 to 1740, are now used as classrooms. They are built of brick with slate roofs and are arranged around a central open courtyard, with a narrow opening to the north. The elevation facing the main house features a central block and end blocks with arcaded brickwork; the upper parts of the arcades are glazed with lunette windows. A large oval window with web-like glazing bars is located in the centre of the east side. The interior elevations also feature arcaded bays, with nine bays across by six bays high, and a central pediment facing the entrance. Some internal alterations were made in the 1970s.
