Description

The Bray Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of St. Matthew, positioned 13 metres southeast of the chancel. This mid-18th century tomb is made of limestone and features a moulded table and base, with raised large shields situated between panelled pilasters. It commemorates Mary Bray, who died in 1765. Additionally, there are 13 carved headstones from the 17th to early 18th century scattered in the graveyard to the south of the church.
