Description

The Chestnuts is a pair of cottages that have been converted into one house, dating from the late 18th century. The building features timber framing and is covered in colourwashed clunch. It has a thatched roof, with each original cottage consisting of one bay, a lateral door, and a common stack located on the party wall. One of the doors is now blocked. The structure has timber lintels above metal windows. The thatch is dressed down over a lean-to outbuilding on the left, and the roof is hipped and swept over two dormers.
