No 147 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop and offices. It is part of a building with No 148 and dates from the 18th century, having been raised and remodeled in the early 19th century. The exterior is made of diaper brick with quoins and stone window dressings, topped by a hipped slate roof. The building has three storeys. The ground floor features a 19th-century shop window with central doors flanked by four arched lights, supported by pilaster ends and a fascia. The first floor has three bays of margin glazed sash windows set in architraves, complete with bracketed sills and an entablature that includes a flat cornice.
