Description

Jac Dor is a cottage located in a row on the east side of The Street in East Knoyle, dating from around 1700. It is constructed of dressed limestone and features a thatched roof with a brick stack on the left side. The cottage is two stories high and has two windows. On the ground floor, there is a six-panelled door set in a 19th-century trellised porch to the right, with a 2-light casement window to the right of the door and a 2-light and a 3-light casement window to the left. The first floor has two 3-light casement windows. At the rear, there is a lean-to extension. Inside, the cottage includes chamfered beams and an open fireplace with a lintel resting on brick jambs.
