Description

Forge Cottage is a cottage located at the end of a row, likely built around 1700 and altered in the 18th century. It features dressed limestone and brick construction, with a hipped thatched roof and a brick chimney on the right side. The cottage is two stories tall and has two windows. The entrance consists of a four-panelled door situated in a gabled porch on the left side, with two 2-light casement windows to the right, the left one being in a blocked doorway. On the first floor, there is a pair of 2-light casement windows. Additionally, there is an early 20th-century two-storey rear wing attached to the left. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in September 1986.
