HULLAVINGTON THE STREET ST 88 SE (east side) 5/34 Barn and Cowsheds to the north- east of Mays Farmhouse 12.12.51 GV II

Barn and cowshed range. Barn probably C17 in origin but restructured in the C19 and with early C20 restoration and alteration. Cowsheds early C19. Barn of coursed rubble with some dressed stone to corners and north-west midstrey jambs, wooden lintels and stone slate roof. C19 north-west midstrey with gabled roof and plank gates with gabled, louvred vent above. Decayed south-east midstrey with C20 corrugated iron extension. Attached Cowshed range of 10 bays with circular stone piers and gabled stone slate roof. Some concrete block walls inserted between piers. Small stables and tack room on north-west end. Interior. Barn has through-purlin collar and tie-beam roof structure with some renewal of timbers.
