Description
Squareys Cottage is an early 19th-century detached cottage located on the east side of Drove Lane in Coombe Bissett. The building is constructed of Flemish bond brick with a Welsh slate, half-hipped roof, and a brick stack to the rear. It is two storeys high with a two-window front. A central planked door is set within a gabled porch, and either side is a two-light casement window with a segmental arch above. The first floor has two matching two-light casement windows. The left return wall features bands of flint and brick. Attached to the left return is a brick and chalk outhouse with double doors and a two-light casement window with cast iron. The right return has two 20th-century casement windows to the attic. A 20th-century lean-to extension is attached to the right return. The interior of the cottage was not inspected.
