Perrior, Small And Two Fricker Monuments In The Churchyard Between 6 And 11.5 Metres South Of Nave Of Church Of St Mary

The Perrior, Small, and two Fricker monuments are four chest tombs located in the churchyard between 6 and 11.5 metres south of the nave of the Church of St. Mary. These tombs date from the late 17th century, late 18th century, and early 19th century and are made of limestone. The Fricker tombs share a similar style, featuring a moulded plinth, two fielded panels on the main sides and ends, fielded pilasters, and a moulded flat top. The northern tomb is dedicated to Mary Fricker, who died in 1776, while the southern tomb is for William Fricker, who died in 1814. The Perrior tomb has a plinth, two shaped panels on each main side with fielded pilasters, and a flat top; it commemorates John Perrior, who died in 1794. The Small tomb includes a plinth, panels with channeled borders, pilasters adorned with stylised floral ornamentation on a fluted frieze with rosettes, and a flat top; it marks the grave of William Small, who died in 1788.
