Description

Conigre Farm Hotel is an early 18th-century farmhouse that has been converted into a hotel. It is constructed of brick with ashlar quoins and a plinth, topped with a Welsh slate roof featuring coped verges and a saddlestone on the left side, along with stone stacks on the right. The building is designed in an L-shape and has two storeys with seven windows.

The entrance features a chamfered door case located to the right of the center, accompanied by two 2-light cyma-mullioned windows to the right and four to the left. Above the windows, there is a continuous string course. On the first floor, there are seven 2-light cyma-mullioned windows. To the left of the main front, there is a rubblestone lean-to extension that includes a tall brick stack and a cylindrical projecting bread oven. The right side of the building has a square bay window with cyma-moulded cases.

At the rear, there is a two-storey rubblestone wing and an outshot, both featuring 2-light cyma-mullioned windows, while a gabled stair turret has a cyma-moulded cross window. Inside, the hotel retains chamfered ceiling beams with stops, although much of the interior has been altered in the Victorian period.
