Description

No 57 on King Street is a house dating from the late 18th century. It features a painted ashlar front, with a rubblestone rear and right side, topped by a Welsh slate mansard roof and a stone stack with a moulded capping on the right. The building is symmetrical, standing two storeys high with an attic and three windows. The central door is set in a moulded case with a pediment supported by brackets, flanked by a pair of 12-pane sash windows. There is a plat band at the first floor level, with a central sash window in a moulded case and a pair of sashes on either side. The roof includes three flat-roofed dormers, each with sash windows. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing that features 2 and 3-light cyma-mullioned windows.
