Description
Tamaree is a late 18th-century house located at the end of a row on King Street in Melksham. The front is made of painted ashlar, while the return and rear are constructed of rubblestone. It features a two-span stone slate roof with coped verges and stone stacks on the left gables. The building has a symmetrical two-storey and attic design with a two-windowed front. A central door, accessed by three steps, is set in a beaded case and topped with a flat stone hood supported by brackets. On either side of the door are pairs of 12-pane sash windows, and there is an arched entry on the right. A plain band runs along the first floor, where there are two pairs of sashes without glazing bars. The roof includes one central hipped dormer. At the rear, there is a single-storey ashlar extension from the 19th century.
