Description
Hunter's Moon is a detached house built in the second quarter of the 19th century. It features Flemish bond brickwork and a hipped roof covered with Welsh slate, along with brick stacks. The entrance front is positioned at right angles to the road and consists of two storeys with two windows. The central door has two round-arched panels and a fanlight above it. To the right of the door is a 16-pane sash window, while the first floor has a two-light casement and a round-arched sash window to the right.
The left side of the house faces the road and includes a canted bay with French windows on the right and plain French windows on the left. The first floor features two 6-pane sash windows with shutters, and pilasters with simple brick capitals flank the sides. The deep eaves of the hipped roof add to the architectural detail. The rear of the house has 6-pane sash windows and a round-arched stair window. There is also a late 19th-century two-storey extension attached to the rear. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included primarily for its group value with Orcheston House.
