Description

The Village Pound is a rectangular enclosure likely built in the 19th century, with repairs made in 1987. It features limestone drystone walling and is located to the west of the A429 road, approximately 750 meters north of the village. The wall generally rises about 1.5 meters and is topped with drystone on-edge coping. There is a plain opening at the southeast corner. The pound is situated below the level of the road and was previously overgrown and damaged, but as of March 1988, it has been restored and is now complete. This structure holds historical significance for the village.
