Description
Crudwell Court is a former rectory that has been converted into a hotel. It dates back to the early 18th century, with alterations and additions made in the late 19th century. The building is constructed from squared and coursed rubble, featuring stone dressings and stone slate roofs with stone stacks. It has an irregular U-shaped plan, with an 18th-century east wing facing the church and a 19th-century block at the rear surrounding a courtyard.
The east front is two stories and an attic high, with six windows. The windows have segmental heads, with some featuring small pane wooden cross-mullions and others with 12-pane sashes. There are five hipped dormers present. The 19th-century block has sash windows. Inside, the early 18th-century section includes an open newel staircase with twisted balusters and a mahogany handrail, as well as a ground floor room to the left that has raised and fielded panelling.
