Description
Beanacre Farmhouse, now a house, was built in the late 17th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with a stone slate roof, featuring saddleback coped verges and kneelers. The building has diagonally set paired ashlar stacks. The farmhouse is arranged in a T-shape, with a symmetrical two-story facade. The front has three windows, with a central door. A continuous string course runs above the lintel of the door, and single-light stone casements are positioned on either side of the door, along with a three-light splayed and filleted mullioned window on each side, all below the string course. The first floor features a central two-light mullioned window, with a three-light window on either side. The left return has a 12-pane sash window on both floors. The right return has blocked single stone moulded windows with drip moulds on both floors. At the rear, there are three-light ovolo moulded mullioned windows and a two-light window in the gable of the Cotswold attic. The central projecting wing has two stories with three-light ovolo mullioned windows and a two-light window in the attic gable. All rear windows have drip moulds above them. The interior has been altered, and no original fireplaces remain.
