Description
The barn at Beanacre Old Manor is a 16th-century structure featuring timber framed walls that are clad in weatherboarding, resting on rubble stone wall footings. It has a corrugated iron roof and consists of four bays, with no windows present. The interior includes an arch braced tie beam truss with a collar, supported by jowled main posts. The roof is constructed with butt purlins and includes wind braces to the first tier of purlins. The floor is made of flagstone. Doorways have been added to the central bay, and the first bay on the right is separated by a rubble stone footing wall with studding above. There is also an attached rubble stone lean-to shed with a stone slate roof on the right gable.
