Description

The Walnuts is a detached house built in the late 17th century or early 18th century, with alterations made in 1929 and 1962. It is constructed of squared rubble stone and features a half-hipped roof covered with 20th-century tiles and ashlar stacks. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a symmetrical front that includes a central door framed by a moulded stone architrave and a flat hood. On either side of the door are two 3-light ovolo moulded mullion windows. The first floor has one 3-light and three 2-light mullioned windows, and there are two hipped dormers in the roof. At the rear, there are three wings that date from the 20th century. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in June 1984.
