Description

The Lynch is an 18th or early 19th century cottage located in Shalbourne. It is constructed of brick and has a thatched roof. The building is one storey high with an attic, and originally comprised two bays. A lean-to extension to the rear contains a dairy. A single-storey extension is on the left-hand side, with a timber porch over the front door. The windows are timber casements with segmental heads. Gable stacks are present, and there is a dormer window to the rear. Group value is recognised, reflecting the building’s contribution to the character of the area.
