Description

Conigre House is a mid-19th century building situated on Woodleigh Grange Road. The south front is two storeys plus attics, constructed of ashlar with stone-tiled roofs. A high moulded parapet runs along the top, with a kneeler on the left-hand side. A dormer window, beneath a gablet with moulded coping, is centrally positioned. A large gable on the right-hand side also has moulded and stepped coping. Both attics feature paired rectangular windows with stone mullions. A rectangular dripmould is above the attic window on the right. The gabled section to the right slightly projects forward and contains a two-story bow window with a four-light Gothic window on the first floor and four French windows on the ground floor. There are similar windows to the left, comprising three lights and a single light, with a French window on the ground floor. A two-story section of lower elevation is on the left-hand side, with pantiled roofs. It features two windows of two and three lights, incorporating stone mullions. The gable ends on the west side incorporate older masonry.
