Description
The Butcher monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 11 metres south-west of the west end of the Church of Holy Trinity. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of limestone. The monument features a moulded table and base, with recessed corner pilasters and panelled sides. An inscription in an oval panel commemorates John Butcher, who died in 1816, as well as John Butcher, who died in 1823, along with Charles and William. The top of the tomb is broken.
