Description

Two cottages stand in a row, dating from the 17th to 18th centuries. They are built of colourwashed brick and have a thatched roof. The cottages are single-storied with an attic, and originally comprised five bays. The entrance to No. 7 is a partly glazed door within a 20th-century open porch, located in the right bay. There are 19th-century casement windows, and three dormers in the roof. No. 8 incorporates the left bay of a larger house, and has been extended in the 20th century by a passage and one bay to the left, an addition that is not considered to be of architectural significance. The roof is half-hipped, with a central brick stack and an additional stack to the rear.
