Description

This 18th-century chest tomb is located in the churchyard approximately 13 meters south of the tower of the Church of St James in Ludgershall. It is made of limestone and features a thick moulded table, with the base buried. The tomb is adorned with corner and center pilasters that are carved in relief with foliage, supporting an entablature. There are raised shields on the tomb that contain inscriptions, although these are not legible.
