Description

This is an 18th-century chest tomb located approximately 7 meters southeast of the chancel at the Church of St James in Ludgershall. It is made of limestone and features a chamfered table with fielded panels on the sides, although the base is buried. The top of the tomb is inscribed with the name William, who died in the 1730s, and there are additional inscriptions on the sides and ends. One corner of the table is broken.
